By default there is only one Service Type - Delivery, but any number of Service Types can be added. Click on the link Service Type. Click on the New button and add a Service Type. Some common Service Types are : Exchange, Pick-Up, Credit-Memo, Returns etc

The advantage with defining the Job Type or Service Type is dual : Apart form the fact that it is possible for you to view your Service Orders from the Service Orders tab and identify what service type each Order is meant to be, it would also be possible to assign different icons for each Service Type so that you may identify it on the Routing map.
