Routing from the Service Units tab

DispatchTrack allows you to route your stops either from the Routing tab or the Service Units tab. If you wish to look at all unscheduled stops in one map and schedule multiple trucks at the same time, you need to route from the Routing tab. If you already know your Service Unit assignments and need to schedule one Service Unit at a time, use the Service Units tab.

How do I route from the Service Units Tab?

Pre-tasks: Data has been imported, Service Orders have been analyzed, edited if required, and finally dispatched

1. Click the Service Units tab to get started. You see the list of Service Units.

2. Click on the Service Unit whose route you want to check. You see the map with the marked route and destinations along with their stop numbers.

3. The stops are on the left side. If you want to make any alterations to the schedule, click on the Edit Schedule button at the top right corner of the screen, make the changes and Save them.

4. Any change that needs to be made to a stop, with respect to Start Time, End Time and the Window Time may be made. (Note : The Window Time can be changed only if it has been made editable, by going to the Admin tab -> Routing Setup -> and putting a check mark in Make Time Windows editable?)

5. Any changes that need to be made to the Route itself with respect to time can be made in the green box below the list of Order Details. (Use the buttons at the top-right corner of the box optimally - the Route Lock button to lock or unlock the Route, the Time Lock button to lock or unlock the Time settings, the Edit Route Settings icon to edit the Start Time, the Load Time and the Unload Time and the Add Events icon to add unscheduled stops such as Lunch Breaks etc.)

6. The order of the stops may be altered by choosing the logic that suits your business best, from the four options available at the top of the list of stops. The Shortest Distance button, when clicked processes the route to display the shortest distance to the stops from their starting point. The Farthest First button, as the name suggests, begins the routing from the farthest point from the warehouse. The Reverse Route changes the order of the stops in the reverse order from where they are, at the moment. The Sort By Time button, when clicked sorts the order list to display them in ascending order of their Service Time.
